September was marked by a unique experience for our Fuga team! Our sommeliers, Alizée, Paul and Marius, and Thibault, our purchasing manager, left Paris for a day to spend a day harvesting grapes in the heart of Champagne Jeeper's organic vineyards.
As soon as they arrived, our teams were greeted by the vineyard manager, who shared his expertise on the importance of harvesting and the specificities of organic viticulture. They then had the chance to get their hands dirty, or rather in the vines, picking grapes alongside the grape-pickers. This immersive experience gave them a better understanding of the painstaking work that goes into every bottle.
After a busy morning, head to the historic wooden press in the heart of the village. There, our teams were able to discover the secrets of champagne production by visiting the vat room and barrel cellar, and discovering the unique style of each of the house's cuvées.
The day ended on a high note, with a tasting of the cuvée extra-brut naturelle, perched among the vines in the hills above Reims. A moment of conviviality and sharing, where our sommeliers were able to appreciate the fruits of their labor that make each Jeeper champagne so special, and discover the House's organic cuvée.
This harvest day was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the passion for wine and the authenticity of Champagne know-how. Many thanks to Maison Champagne Jeeper for their warm welcome and infectious passion🍇🥂
